Cartoon for myopic
After a long wait for 10 years, I have finally embark on my journey to the long awaited LASIK! I’ve always wanted to do Lasik since i was 13 years old. I hate wearing thick glasses and I have finally started working and should be able to afford the LASIK surgery. My peers around me all have done their Lasik. Seriously i guess I am one of the few who wanted to do Lasik…since young…. That time my Consultant already shared with me about the technology of Lasik. But at that time, i was still too young and its a very Expensive surgery… which will cost about $4000 per eye. Almost 12 yrs on, it will cost about $1600 per eye if operated by Senior Consultant….even the consultant i have been seeing is already a Senior Consultant in SNEC and have already craved a name for himself in the Medical World…
At that time, my reason to do Lasik wasn’t just pure cosmetics reason but was because of my childhood dream….ie. to become a Police Officer in the force. After serious considerations, I called my Senior Consultant and make an appointment with him…hehe….which will be this coming Friday, 2 Dec 08 at 1.30pm….
The only worry is that whether am I suitable for LASIK as i know my cornea is already quite thin to begin with….and to do Lasik,…its a procedure which will actually thin my cornea…any thinner might cause blindness…and of course there are risks and complications with any surgery…
Let’s pray hard that I can do LASIK…..this is my hope….my wish…..i been wishing i do this since i was 13….Almost 12 yrs already! i need to start to walk the talk…..
